Our sign was part of a publicity campaign which included advertisements in the News-Journal, Community News, Middletown/Newark/Dover weekly newspapers, Craigslist, and over 100 posters and 300 flyers dirtributed in the Elsmere/Prices Corner area.

In this PeaceWorks activity presented by Glenda, children were separated by an opaque screen and helped each other to assemble a woodblock design by communicating clearly.

We had an impromptu Secret Santa event, in which children selected items from our white elephant table as Christmas gifts for family members. Here is one of the girls demonstrating her talent for neatly wrapping packages!

These ornaments are just too beautiful -- glossy silver patterns uncovered by scratching blue paint from the surface of each snowflake. Even the adults enjoyed this craft!

Our Christmas tree (and the baskets underneath!) is decorated with warm winter clothing which will be donated to Hope House, a transitional shelter for women and children.

Dottie provided fantastic gourmet sandwiches and soups which were enjoyed equally by children and volunteers alike. Delo brought in snacks and beverages including handmade roasted almonds -- delicious!!!
